My parents were also not home last night, as they stayed with friends of ours up by Mylo. We have not seen these friends for a few years now, so they enjoyed the time to be able to catch up on what's happening in each others' lives.
The very good news is that we are all back home again now. :)
~Here is a picture of the wedding cake at Joshua & Esthers' reception. (Thank you so much Dad and Mom for driving so carefully over all those railroad tracks, and for setting it up and all, and for getting some pictures too!!!)
Oh, and here's a picture of my dad's cousin, Jerome, with his baaa-rthday cake. ;)
Tomorrow, Mom is going to Bismarck, but I get to stay home all day. I love being home!

P.S. - see that I'm doing better at keeping up with your blog posts? ;) HeHe!
Hey Cora !! What a beautiful cake!!! Morgan and I just started the cake decor class with Stella! WE LOVE it ...and speaking of cakes...would you share your fondant recipe with me? I am trying to find one that actually tastes good enough to eat and is fairly easy to work with. Morgan and I will have to show you our progress sometime , we are getting much better!- Thanks alot, Molly
Dear Cora,
I just love looking at pictures of your cakes--maybe even more than eating them. :)
I think that you really do have a ministry in your cake business--a mighty sweet ministry. ;) Seriously, though, I watched those people at the wedding. Something about a cake makes an event seem really special! You really DO bless people with your marvelous cake creations. How wonderful you are, my dear dear Cora!
I love you soooooo much,
Mom
Thank you for the sweet comments, Rachel, Molly and Mother. :)
Molly~
I'm so excited for you and Morgan to be taking the class!!! Is this the level #1 class? I learned so much from Stella and am sure you are doing the same. :)
The fondant recipe I use is made with marshmallows. You can find it here: http://whatscookingamerica.net/PegW/Fondant.htm .
This fondant is really nice to work with and tastes good, in my opinion anyway. I've had several other people say they like how it tastes too, but then I've also had 1 young lady tell me she loved the cake I made, except for how the fondant tasted. :) Soooo, it might just be a matter of preference?
I would LOVE to see your cakes (pictures or the real thing) sometime! I still have that book that Mikayla loaned me on cakes. Would you like that back now? ;)
Hope this helps,
Cora
Thank you so much Cora!Yes, we are in the 1st class. Stella is a great teacher and alot of fun! Thank you so much for the recipe , I can't wait to try it out. If you are still using the cake book fell free to keep it. If not, we might us it. I will send you pictures sometime .....as soon as our cakes looks presentable! Thanks again, hope you are all staying safe and warm this winter! Molly
