...having an entryway full of an abundant harvest of apples and tomatoes...
...for finding the largest Hubbard squash of the year...
...for taking pictures of our pumpkin patch, which is now visible due to the mild frost we got a few days ago...
...Calendula flowers to drink up all the sunshine they possibly can...
...for sunflowers to finish filling their heads with seeds...
...for working on the long process of clearing off the garden...
...for looking for mice under old pieces of equipment...
...for making progress on the storage shed...
...and more progress...
...and even more progress! (The walls for our building used to be the floor of a barn...)
- The guys nearly finished the field work on the land we rent and now just need to stack a few bales and harvest the corn.
- Mother had a successful day in Bismarck and accomplished 7 hour-long sessions for clients.
- I worked on finishing up plans for Dad and Mom's very soon upcoming vacation (they leave on Sunday!); made the first-kettle-full-of-the-season potato soup with meatballs; and was blessed to hear from a new friend who found me because of a post I did last November!
- We ended the day together, watching a funny episode of Bonanza on the computer. :)
And that sums up, quickly, our lovely day.
Here's a quote to make you smile during these lovely Fall days:
"Autumn is a second spring when every flower is a leaf."
