Pictures, old and new...

As I haven't posted pictures in a while, I thought I'd catch up a bit and do so now....

One morning, several days ago, my dad noticed this fuel truck sitting along the side of the road down by our hay-yard. He and Andrew went down to see if they could help. They spent a good while trying to get the truck going, but all to no avail, and finally another guy from the fuel company came and pulled the truck back to town. A neighbor stopped by too... (I took this picture long-distance, so that's why it's rather fuzzy looking. You can see the trees and elevator of Kintyre in the distance.)
I took the next two pictures the evening that Mother and Jacob returned home:
Jacob, sporting a new hat...
The "Welcome home" house cake I baked and decorated quickly before our travellers arrived...

The following pictures I took this morning:
Andrew noticed last night that our 1 turkey hen had hatched out some babies!!! Hooray!!!!!!Soooooo, this morning, the guys and I took our 6 chickens that we raised (remember when they were in the house?) down to the barn,
and then caught the 6 baby turkeys we found following their mother and put them in the movable tank we had had the chicks in... Later this afternoon, Andrew noticed that the hen had found 1 more of her babies, so he caught that one also and we added it to our collection. :) It's getting late in the season for baby birds, but hopefully with tender, loving care, they'll do well and grow fast!
I can NOT believe last night that I could not think of anything to post of, because I had/have the most happy news to share! Yesterday morning, my yearling goat, Fay gave birth to twin doelings!!! I've been waiting and waiting for her to kid, and now she finally did. Here she is with her darlings:
This one is my favorite... Isn't she adorable? :) Now I have to come up with some good names...
The Bread-Seed Poppy-seeds in this picture are a little hard to see, but I thought the fancy designs on top of the seed pods were so cute and hope you can see them too...
My blue-squash vines that are threatening to take over my garden...

One of Mother's bell peppers...

Broccoli...

And last, but not least, Lady, joining me for a stroll in the garden...

I hope you enjoyed this peak into our life on the farm!
Until next time,
~Cora

Did you come up with names for your doelings? I think they're SO cute.

Yes, Olivia!
I named the all white one Jessica and the other spotted one is Rachel. I know two sets of sisters (people) whose names are Rachel and Jessica and I like them both, so that's how I came up with the names. :)
