Goose weather...

It rained and poured yesterday, amounting to nearly 2 1/2 inches! Our geese loved it and were out splashing (they're pictured below in the driveway) the whole afternoon:


This morning I picked some of my Indian corn. It's so amazing to see the many different shades of reds, yellows, creams and so on--all in the same cob sometimes!
Now to do some decorating.....

This is by far the queerest cob I picked--starting as one cob on the bottom and then splitting into two cobs toward the top!

Oh yes, and I have a mystery picture for you!!! This might be really easy, I'm not sure...

Can you guess what the following picture is of (or, more specifically, what the black things are and what they're for?)

ooh! Yay! Mystery picture! well, the green thing looks like one of those foam things that you but down, but, the black things I'm just not sure of. Can't wait to find out, though!
