Sweep; scrub; dust; scrub; polish... and a few pictures from yesterday!

There has been much activity going on around our place these last couple days! As it's been wet and windy, a lot of the commotion has been happening indoors...

One of my projects yesterday was to clear off this table (I should have taken a before picture!); wipe it off and scrub underneath it; and then to fill it all back up again with garden produce. :)

Another produce-type project was: hanging the onions up in the basement. Mother used this technique (putting onions in old Nylons and tying a knot under each one) many years ago, but we had gotten away from it for some reason. I remember this system working really nice though, as it contains all of the mess from the onions and it lets each onion breath, so I thought we'd give it a try once again...
Andrew went down to the local machinery dealership yesterday and picked up all the cardboard boxes we'd spoken for a while back. Once he got them home and inside, he neatly cut all of them into pieces... We will be using some of these for stapling our targets onto this weekend, although I think there are enough here for many more Appleseed Projects in the future!
Today, my parents went to Bismarck to buy some supplies and to pick up the Porta-Potty we're renting. They were gone the whole afternoon, so that left the boys and I home to keep things rolling...
*Jacob cleaned his part of the boys' room and helped with various projects (fly swatting; laundry folding; putting the bats and balls away that I found in the entryway when cleaning there...)
*Andrew worked on the DVD he's making of Prairie Days so he can give a copy to the Dagleys when they're here. Plus, he burned a big pile of garbage that we gathered together...
*I baked bread and canned the salsa that Mom and I had cooking in the slow-cookers overnight...
*Then, some general house-cleaning got done by all --even the piano keys got washed off, one by one. :) We still have lots to do tomorrow, but I'm sure everyone will fly, as the instructors; the instructors-in-training; and Ben & Amanda Dagley will be showing up in the evening... Hooray!
My mom thinks that we should host an Appleseed Event every month, because we get so many things done when we have incentive!!! However, I doubt that anyone would want to lay in the snowbanks and practice their shooting abilities! One of the instructors-in-training said that a few layers of clothing actually help when you're shooting, "Because it blocks muscle tremors..." but it probably wouldn't work real well to get into the different shooting positions when you're bundled up like an Eskimo in the dead of Winter!
Anyway, I just wanted to thank everyone for praying for nice weather for our area this weekend--as the forecast looks more hopeful than it did a few days ago (no rain, I mean). :) I'm sure God has everything planned out perfectly, and I'm looking forward to seeing what that plan might be~

Dear Cora,
I like what your mother said.
That is what my mother says when we all are cleaning and getting ready for company! I hope that you all will have a fine day tomorrow. That is alot of onions, and an unique way to store them! " Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might"
Have a wonderful day in the Lord!
