Building progress...

Dear friends,

Before I show pictures of the guys' accomplishments, I thought I'd share one of our goose parade,
and one of the pumpkins and squash (and a bit of Indian corn) that I picked yesterday...

My dad and brothers worked on the building all afternoon. It was so nice and warm out that it felt like Summer! This picture doesn't show much working going on, but there has to be time for thinking and planning too you know. :)
The shed is really starting to look like a building now. It's so exciting!!! After 7 years of living on this farm, we'll finally have storage for our "Junk" inside instead of all over the place...
Brother Andrew, standing across from the opening in the middle wall that will be the doorway to the other side of the shed...

I had gone out to the garden for some flowers for the table and had taken my camera along so as to get some pictures of the building progress. Andrew used my camera then from on top of the building and got some great shots!
Jacob, screwing the floor joists together...
The flowers and I...
Our garden, taken in Panoramic mode...

The work area...
Jacob in wide-picture format--which didn't work the best here as it makes it look like the floor-to-be is very twisted!

Brothers...

My dad--doing one of the things he really enjoys--building things! (Those boards are huge! 20 feet long, so they tell me...)

Tomorrow will be a semi-restful day, as there's still a lot of packing to do for Dad and Mom's vacation (they leave very early Sunday morning.) Tonight, Andrew showed them how to use his laptop (how to import pictures on it and how to use a neat feature he figured out recently that will let us talk to each other and see each other over the computer, using web-cams! Fun!!!)
While the guys were working, Mother was doing sessions (4 today again) and then she and I cleaned the house and made a feast. I worked on some last minute map-printing for their trip and assembled all the pages in a binder book, so as to make it easier for them to take and keep organized. I sure hope they have as fun a time as we're anticipating! :)
And, that's what happened around here today. I hope you all had a productive day as well.
Be blessed~
Cora
