A labor-full day...

Yes, we spent this holiday laboring. :)

The guys worked on hay and combined a bit of the wheat. Mother and I made more apple sauce and juice; cleaned the front refrigerator thoroughly (and then washed a bunch of jars); we did a LOT of laundry; and Mother did 3 health sessions, 1 of them being in person. We also made another batch of our new favorite dessert, called "Baked apples with walnut chunks". We laughed at the originality of this recipe's title, but the resulting product is quite out of the ordinary! If anyone would like, I'd be happy to share it (the recipe). :)

Here are 3 great songs that are arranged/sung by the Maranatha Singers... Be blessed.~

My dear friend, Dorena taught me this one:

And now, for one fun thing before I go.
See if you can make any sense out of this:

Dear Cora,

That was fun! :) I made sense out of that, but I don't want to spoil it for others. so I won't tell what it says! :)

I would love to have your recipe, if you don't mind sharing. :) We love to make dishes out of apples. have you ever had pie for supper? We often like to make our pies for a meal... they did that in the colonial days. When we make a pie, we like to eat it for supper or breakfast... instead of like desert.
Apple pie is my favorite I believe. :)

I'm listening to the songs by the way. :) Have enjoyed them, so far. Thank you for sharing.
With love,
Carra

That was a fun paragraph. Yes , why don;t you just post the recipe, I'd like to see try it too. By the way just saw on FB a friend who made coleslaw our of kohlrabi, I think you had some questions about how to use it. I have never heard of using it for coleslaw before, we just always sliced it and ate it like radishes. Have a great day.

I can read all but the beginning of the last line. What does R3 P057 mean? Is that "Re-post"? "Report"?

Yes, we've had just pie for supper before, although not regularily. :) I believe it was on a Saturday evening, when nobody had been working, so we weren't very hungry and pie was just the thing to fill us! I think rhubarb pie is my favorite, although it's hard to decide!
I just shared the apple recipe on my blog, which I'm guessing you've already seen. :)

Dear Anonymous~
Kohlrabi coleslaw sounds interesting... I think the kolrabi is ready now, so we might give that a try. Thanks for sharing that idea!

Dear Kristi,
It's good to hear from you again!!!
I think it's supposed to mean "Re post", as in, you can repost it to your blog or elsewhere. Isn't it amazing how God made our minds so flexible---so much so that we can read a mess like that? :)

Have a great day everyone~
