These are Lane and Sarah's oldest children, James and Ila.
Ila kept finding new ways to enjoy the swings...
Then James had to imitate his big sister, of course!
Mother, James and Sarah went for a ride on the "Double" swing...
...and soon our double swing became a quadruple swing!
Mom and Sarah were going on a garden-tour when I snapped this picture of them by our very tall sunflowers!
Later, Mother had the camera and caught me jumping with the little ones. :) I had a lot of fun with the children--swinging; bouncing; eating apples and blowing bubbles! They all stayed and visited for a couple hours before Sarah had to leave, as she was teaching a ladies' Bible study this afternoon. It was so refreshing to have sweet fellowship with friends, and it was so neat to listen to a 5 year old girl who was able to tell me all about their garden and how they put up their produce--as though she were a fully grown lady!
This afternoon, Jacob shredded some of our cabbage for me so that I could make 5 more quarts of sauerkraut. We did up our one and only purple cabbage, so I had to get a picture!

Dear friends~

I've got to run. We're going to a baby shower today. :)
I love the pictures. That's something I've never made before, saurkraut! My mother made delicious saurkraut. It is so much better than store bought. Maybe I will try it next year! I like that in the picture of you cutting Andrew's hair Millie is right there, too. How like a dog.
I would have never guessed that you cut your brothers' hair. Is it easy? Do they cut yours? :)
Kimberly~
Yes, Millie has to be in EVERYTHING! The sad thing is that, just a little while ago, Mother and Jacob headed outside to see what a certain cheeping noise was and here our dog was working on killing a chick from this Spring. :( I thought we had that problem over with...
Anna~
My mom had a friend years ago who was a beautician and she taught my mom how to cut hair. Then, my mom taught me several years ago so that I could help her with our guys' haircuts. It really is pretty easy, once you know how. I think it's really fun to do too. Oh, and no, I don't let them cut my hair!!! :)
