What joy!

This morning, Mrs. Dagley (the mother of the bride) called and told me that another dear friend, Hannah S. is going to be able to ride along with all of us to the wedding! What joy! As Hannah lives quite a ways away, I don't get to see her very often, so this will be a wonderful opportunity to get caught up on what's been happening in her life!

I also learned that the Dagleys would like to leave at 6:00AM Friday morning, and, as I have an hour and a half long drive to get to their place, I'm thinking now that I'll head their way tomorrow night--after chores. I didn't really want to leave tomorrow, as it's Jacob's birthday and we like to be together for birthdays, but I REALLY don't want to wake up in the middle of the night and then have to drive right away... I will probably still be driving in the dark if I leave tomorrow, but at least I'll (hopefully) be wide awake then. :)

Mother and the boys went to Bismarck today to run a bunch of errands and also to try and buy some more baby calves. They ended up not buying any, as the ones there were from a big dairy who we know don't take good care of their calves (and we've consequently not had good success with keeping their calves alive in the past.)

My dad was hauling grain from real early this morning until about 7:00PM, so I had the house (and the farm, for that matter) to myself for most of the day. :) I worked on apples; did some laundry; worked on packing again; and baked a cake and started decorating it... At the wedding, there's going to be a cake "Contest" and, whoever bakes a cake gets to take a picture of the bride and groom cutting their cake. Plus, at the end of the meal, if there's any cake left, someone will auction off the pieces and the money will go to the new couple. It sounds like fun, so I decided to enter a cake. I won't be posting pictures here until after the fact though, just in case Amanda happens to read this tomorrow. (I want the cake to be a surprise.) :)

So, with a very busy and exciting day ahead, I'd best get a little rest now!

Yeah! I'm so happy for you! Long trips are always more fun with a friend! :D I hope you have a good time of fellowship!

Yes, I wouldn't want to drive that early in the morning either! ;) Sheesh! :) Good thinking on your part I think. ;D I'm sure your brother understands, and you WILL be there most of the day anyway. :)

Oh, that sounds like fun! I can't wait to see what you did on your cake! ;D Hope you win! :D

Love and Hugs and have a safe trip!
