Flowers bring joy...

...to the hearts of those who take the time to stop and look at and smell them!    Mom and I planted many such flowers this afternoon, after spending a good hour preparing the flower bed first----ridding it of grass and other various green things.

Besides planting joy, we cleaned the house quickly and I made a batch of bread; sweet potato casserole; and 3 flavors of homemade ice cream.  :)  Jacob mowed the lawn around the house and in our "park".  My dad worked on odds and ends in the shop and went to town to buy another solar-powered electric fencer, as we need one more now that we have 2 groups of cattle up in that marshy land.   Oh yes, and he also very considerately made a temporary cow-tail holder out of a piece of twine (and then held onto the other end of it) so I could milk Sally tonight without getting very messy/stinky hair, as with new grass comes messy tails for a while until the cows' system adjusts....and for some unknown reason, Sally likes to swat the milker with her tail towards the end of milking time.

We haven't heard from Andrew lately, but I suppose that means he's keeping busy!  My mom talked to Mr. Sorum for a while this afternoon and he said, amongst other things that, if the people of ND want him to be our next ND state Governor and write his name in on their ballot, and he gets elected, he will still be glad to serve.  Here is a man of God who will do great things, no matter where he's stationed.  Yes, please join me in voting him in.~
