A visit from Miranda and Moses (plus a few other pictures!)

Yesterday, my good friend, Miranda and her younger brother, Moses pulled into our driveway around 3:00 to pay us a visit. We had such a wonderful time with them here and by the time they left our farm this morning, they just seemed to be an extension of our family. I'm so grateful to God for blessing us with friends like the Giegers--and like many other families He's brought us into contact with over the years!

But, let me back up and tell you about our time together... After visiting a while upon their arrival, and after trying out the swing-set, Mother, Miranda, Andrew and I (oh yes, and Millie, our dog) headed out to the little pasture that's right around our farm to see if there would be any suitable place to host an Appleseed Shoot. We stepped off several areas, but nothing seemed to be quite right...

Miranda and Millie--helping...
...and Miranda and I out in the pasture. It was so great to be able to work, play, laugh and visit with you, Miranda!!!
My dad came up with a great idea later in the day of a way to make things work for the Appleseed Shoot, and he and the boys did some experiments, but I'll leave that for another days post...
My brothers got the go-cart out of the Quonset and fired it up to show to Moses. I think Moses enjoyed it a good deal, as he was grinning from ear to ear in all the pictures I saw of him driving. :)

Please do come again sometime, Geigers!!! It was really wonderful to have you~
This afternoon, I baked and decorated a birthday cake for our neighbor, Staceys' birthday...
When I was finished with it, I called Stacey's husband (he'd ordered the cake for her) and he came and picked it up. He brought along 3 of their children, (the ones I've babysat for quite a bit,) so I had fun seeing my little friends again!
Well, I'm rather tired after last nights' late-night talk with Miranda, so I think I'll post this and be asleep in 10 minutes. :)
