"...ears that sweep away the morning dew..."

It was a busy day once again...

My dad and Andrew spent almost all day in the Quonset working on the new grain cleaner. They moved my dad's generator onto Andrew's trailer as Andrew's decided to buy it from dad. (My dads' cleaner doesn't require a generator that's so large and he will get a smaller one in the near future.)

Mother wasn't feeling well today, so she rested a lot, which left most of the house cleaning and food preparation to Jacob and I. We cooked and cleaned away and finally finished shortly before evening chore time.

This evening, my dog Lady joined us out at chores for the first time. She didn't get run over; kicked; banged; or stepped on, and only needed to be told to stay out of the milk room a couple times, so now I think she will be joining us out of doors much more frequently. She has so much fun running around with Millie and I just loving watching her bound through the snow--her ears flopping up and down, up and down...
I found a quote that William Shakespeare wrote about the Basset Hound and thought it so elegant sounding:
Their heads are hung with ears that sweep away the morning dew."

That's my Lady! If there were morning dew this time of year to sweep away, her hanging ears would most definitely sweep it. :)

And now, I'd best join my Lady in dream land!

Aww, how sweet! :D I can just picture you there, typing away, with Lady close by! :) *sigh* :) She sounds like a very sweet and gentle dog. :) Just the kind I love most. ;)

I'm sorry your mother wasn't feeling very well. I'll be praying for her! Hope she feels back to full health quickly! :)

Love and Hugs! Have a Blessed Weekend dear friend! :D
