Though the weather outside was frightful!...
...Inside it was sooooo delightful!
And since there was a blizzard and we couldn't go any place, we just said,
"Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!"
It was Mother's birthday after all and we had lots of things planned to make the day special for her!
But, I'm sure she'll be posting soon to tell you all about it!
So, I'll just say we had a marvelous day and I hope you did too!
Oh yes, thank you to everyone who guessed what my mystery picture was. :) As everyone guessed correctly, it obviously wasn't much of a mystery picture after all!

My, that is a beautiful cake! And the presents are wrapped so nicely. Can't wait to hear what was in them. Love the picture of your mother on the computer. You have a knack for photography, Cora. Have a blessed Sabbath!
Oh, my! It looks so cold out, I don't think I have any reason to complain of our Georgia weather! : )
It's interesting y'all have a December birthday. We have 4 in December so we know all about that! We finally moved mama's to October which was fine with her!
Thanks for visiting my blog! I hope you come back some time!
BTW, did you decorate the cake? Not many people decorate cakes for themselves any more, but I think it's a lot of fun!
Kimberly~
Mother posted about her birthday now, so you can see what was in some of those packages. :)
Thank you for the compliment... I enjoy taking pictures, but would like to learn to do it better! I'm inspired by many of my blogging friends who enjoy photography.
Jennifer~
Thank you for commenting! Yes, it is cold and very white here in ND currently.
That's a lot of December birthdays! I'm just curious... How do you move a birthday? :)
About the cake... I do like to decorate cakes (you can see pictures of ones I've done by visiting: http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-photos-by-pansy-girl.html), but unfortunately, we were very busy and so Mother just bought her birthday cake this year. It was very chocolatey and delicious!!! Do you decorate cakes often?
Sure your mom had a lovely birthday!
God bless you and your family
Love, Rachel*
