Excited!

Well, tomorrow is the big day! We had an enjoyable time decorating the Braddock Community Center this afternoon and I thought I'd post a few pictures quick...

This is what it looked like when we got there:

And this is what it looked like when we left:

Of course, there were a few in-between pictures:

(Gerbers are SO handy...)

I finished decorating the "Special" cake this afternoon. It's perhaps rather unusual, but I thought it was perfect for a young man who has loved building things with Legos for as long as I can remember!

As for the weather--God knows best! We've been praying for lovely weather, and it rained and snowed this morning and afternoon... But, who know--maybe some people will come now who wouldn't have if it had been a bright, sunshiny day? As I said before, God knows best!

Dear Cora,
I LOVE all of your cakes, as you are soooooo creative, but this is the most original yet!!! What a clever idea dear daughter.
I want to thank you for all that you have done to help get ready for Andrew's special day. We never could have gotten this far without your willing hands and quick mind. May God bless you richly for all of the love that you have shown for your brother this week and throughout his life!
HAPPY TODAY, DEAR! I guess I have decided to have a wonderful day NO MATTER WHAT THE WEATHER OR WHO COMES OR DOESN'T COME. Together we will celebrate what the Lord has done through Andrew.
May God bless you richly, Cora Beth!
Love always,
Mom

Hi Cora,
Andrew will certainly feel all the love you have placed into getting ready for his graduation celebration. And the cake is great! I hope lots of people attend, and the weather is better than it is at the moment! Andrew is very special, and what a blessing that you can celebrate this day.

Cora, Looks like Mom forgot to log in to blogger with her own account. :-)

Wish we could have been there today, but at least I'll get to enjoy the pictures and writing of how it went. Congratulations, Andrew!

Mrs. Bartlett--
Thank you for the comment! It is always so exciting to receive one. :)

The weather wasn't what we had been hoping for (cold and wet), but God knows best, and we had a wonderful day anyway with the people He brought!

Jonathan--
I was wondering when David got to be such an eloquent writer! :) I figured it must have been your Mother, or else you who wrote it.

Pictures will be coming soon~

Does your brother like Legos?

My brother has liked Legos for as long as I can remember. I used to build a lot with him too, but I kind of grew out of that. :) Andrew has come up with some pretty sofisticated and amazing designs. My favorite was his program dispenser at the graduation.... If you took a program, the machine would lower a part, roll a new program into the part, and lift it up again. Pretty neat!
