A day of sweet fellowship~

This was a special day, as many special friends of ours came and visited--even some that we weren't expecting!

Around 10:00 this morning, Mrs. Lynette Dagley, Ben Dagley and Hannah Stover arrived at our farm. We had invited them to come and "See" our swing-set and also to look at the DVD Andrew's making for them of this last years' Prairie Days... After swinging for a while, we ladies and Andrew headed across the road to get the mail and to raid the raspberry patch, and then we took a tour of the garden and picked some vegetables for our salad.

In the meantime, our friend, Chuck K. stopped in, as he had Andrew's graduation pictures ready for us. How exciting! (I'll try to post some of those soon.)

Later in the morning, just as we were getting ready to sit down to our noon meal, a red pickup pulled in our driveway and it contained several surprises for us! The contents of the red pickup were: Jonathan & Jaidra Dagley (and their 2 small children, Valerie & Vance) from SD, Eli Dagley (who had been staying with Jonathan & Jaidra), and Amanda Dagley (who had also spent a week with J&J and David & Susanna). We ladies set out some more plates then and got out some more food, then settled in for several hours of fellowship! :)

Mrs. (Lynette) Dagley, Ben, Amanda & Hannah headed for home a little before 5:00, as they had a square dancing event certain members of their family wanted to attend. Jonathan & Jaidra's little family, however, stayed for supper; watched one of our favorite Bonanzas with us; and visited until about 7:30, at which time they thought they'd best head for their place and we had to head out to the barn.

Between Mother, Andrew and I, we have a lot of pictures from this day, but as my head aches, I think I'll just post two of them now and wait for tomorrow to post some more!

~Enjoying the swings~ (We actually had 9 people all swinging at the same time today--counting the 2 little people, of course!)
Andrew crawled on top of the big haystack and got a picture of us ladies on our morning walk...

Thank you Dagleys and Hannah for making this a very special day--one we will remember for a long time!!!

It sounds like you had a wonderful day. I love your writing and all the pictures. The one Andrew took from the haystack looks like he was a long way up there. Great job!

Thank you for the comment, Kimberly! We really did have a great Sabbath yesterday with our house-full of friends! I hope your day was special too.

Oh, and yes, Andrew was a LONG ways up there on the haystack! The picture in my last post of him on top of the bales was the one I took of him while he was taking the one of us, although I zoomed in, so you can't actually see how tall the stack really is... :)
