Green, green, green...

This afternoon was filled with green things--for us all this time!

My parents and brother, Andrew spent the day in the hay-fields again and Jacob and I worked on putting up green beans and picked a bunch of (green) broccoli again. We even made a batch of green cookies! It was a new recipe I found, called "Zucchini Granola Cookies." They were actually pretty tasty. :)

At first I thought this next paragraph would have nothing to do with green things, but now that I think about it, perhaps our family is a little green on the history of rifles in this country. Consequently, my brothers are planning on attending the 2nd Appleseed Shoot in ND (as far as I know, that is) at our friends', the Bartlett's place in a couple weeks. You can check out Jonathan's blog ( http://jonathanjbartlett.blogspot.com/) for more information if you're interested in history or shooting--or both! I hope to be able to attend a shoot sometime also, but this time I need to stay home and help with the barn chores so the boys can go. At least I'll be able to hear first hand all about it when my brothers return!

I was just browsing your blog... it looks like your family does a lot of neat things together! We love playing Settlers of Catan, too. I live on an organic farm as well, so it was fun for me to read about your chores and everything.
I followed you, too- hope you don't mind.

Miss Jen~
I'll try to post the recipe for the cookies soon so that everyone with tons of zucchini can try it if they like...

Anna~
Thanks for commenting! Of course I don't mind if you read my blog. :)

It's always so nice to meet people with similar interests! We haven't had the oppertunity to play much Settlers recently, but come the long Winter, I'm sure that will change.

I'll be visiting your blog shortly~
