Praise God for restful days~

It was a lovely day here on the Bornemann farm...

Everyone got out of bed in time to do chores not so terribly late; then we got cleaned up; ate our lunch; sang hymns together; watched Dr. Davis's message, "How to Avoid Confusion Concerning Betrothal" (which was really more about having a good testimony than about betrothal--but was an excellent message!); and then had time to play a game of Settlers of Catan as a family. We hadn't played Settlers since the snow has melted, so it took a few minutes to remember how to play the new expansion option that Andrew bought last Fall. Mother won the game though (for the first time, she says), so she was very happy and we were happy for her. :)

After night chores, my parents went for a little walk and then, when they got back, we watched a movie I had read about on someones' blog called, "Iron Will." It was about a boy who ran his team of dogs and his sled through a week-long race--starting in Cananda; coming down and across through North Dakota; and ending up in Minnesota. It was based on a true story and had us laughing at some points; crying at others; and cheering at the end! There were several scary parts that I wasn't too fond of, but overall, it was a good story--especially for boys.

Now it's bed time again, so I'd best post this and crawl under my covers--yes, covers! It's kind of cold here in ND--especially for this time of the year! Can anyone out there explain global warming to me???
