It snowed--a few flakes!

For a few minutes this afternoon, it felt like Winter, but the snow stopped falling as quickly as it had started--leaving behind a brown, somewhat wet world.

My afternoon (from 1:00-6:00) was busily spent in watching the 4 energetic neighbor children: Ella (5--who was gone at school until around 4:00), Levi (almost 4), Gabriel (a very active 2 year old) and Elijah (11 months). While the two youngest were sleeping, Levi & I dug out the play-dough and the play-dough toys and made all kinds of things. It's amazing what you can all make with that squishy stuff! When Ella got home, we read some books together--she read the easy words and I read the more difficult ones. It was so good to be with my little friends again, as it's been several months since I've spent time with them.

This evening after chores, Jacob talked me into playing a couple games with him. First, we played Chinese checkers (one of my favorites) and then we played regular checkers. I won both games, so I'm not sure if he'll ask to play with me again anytime in the near future. :)

Well, I'd best head for bed as we need to get up early to help Mother get ready to head for Bismarck.

Happy December everyone!

Dear Cora,

We didn't get any snow either. Yesterday morning there were a few flakes falling that I could barely see. That was it! I'm not too disappointed about it and kind of relieved!

It sounds like you had a good day with your little people.

Love,

Kimberly

We don't have any snow falling right now, but I feel it coming...it's getting colder!
Sounds like you had a nice time with your neighbor children! I love playing checkers with my brothers. I have never played chinese checkers, but I think it would be fun!
