The hours before the wedding...

There was much to be done Sunday morning, but many willing hands made for getting much accomplished.

This picture of the younger girls was taken still in the early hours of the morning...
There were cakes to be frosted for the dessert auction...
and Blueberry filling to make... (That's Rose B. below)
MaryAnna and several girls went out to the pasture and picked a BUNCH of wildflowers for the bouquets. Then, I helped them arrange the flowers into 1 big bouquet for the bride; 2 smaller bouquets for the mothers of the groom/bride; and 12 even smaller ones for the other ladies/girls in the wedding party...
Hannah and friends...
Hannah, the bride, talking to her sister, Sarah, shortly before rehearsal...
While the cooking; baking; flower arranging; dressing; hair styling and such were going on in the house, many others were setting up for the wedding out of doors...
AND, my friends, as it's late once again (I worked in town again), I'll bid you good night and make you wait some more for pictures of the actual wedding......... ;)

Dearest Cora,
Thank you soooo much for this wonderful post! I am very glad that we allowed you to spend the night with the girls there, as I'm sure that you were an immense blessing to Hannah on her wedding morning! Her hair is ever so lovely--like her hairdresser!!!
I love you so much, my dear dear girl. I keep thinking of how the scenery became more and more lovely as the day wore on because YOU were working on the women's/girl's hair. :)
How I wish that we could go back to those days when women WANTED to be pretty for their menfolks because the man's opinion mattered to them. We'll just keep showing them the way, won't we?
Happy Sabbath's rest, my weary daughter.

I'm really enjoying all the pictures from the wedding. I met Hannah once at a friends Birthday party and love seeing her wedding.
