Once upon a time, I began a blog...

(To the tune of "The 12 days of Christmas")

On my first day of blogging, my conscience said to me...
"Can you blog and do it hum-bl-y?"

The answer=By God's grace, "YES!"

Often, when writing, it is easy to make yourself sound much more amazing and "Together" than you really are, so I hope to only write things that are true and encouraging here.

One of the main reasons I decided to start a blog is that the thought of keeping in touch with friends easier was appealing to me. Letters and e-mails are more personal than this, I know, but this way, if I don't have time to write to certain people, they'll be able to see what's happening here on the farm and in my life anyway. My goal is to keep my blog up-to-date, so we'll see how it goes when the "Lazy days of summer" come 'round!
But now, it is nearly supper time, so I must end and help Mother prepare something delicious for when the guys get in from the shop.
Oh, before I go though, I just have to tell you that I'm a grandma! Well, not really, but one of my cows had a beautiful baby this afternoon! Isn't new life an amazing miracle?
