Pictures continued...

This was either my 16th or 17th birthday, I'm not sure!

Getting dizzy...

Beet time!

Andrew and I mixing grain for the animals...

Our family in a giant windsock!!!

My prize fish. :)

Zeke and his owner--fun, fun!

Me holding my kid, Jeremy...

My 18th birthday...

Grandma Marly and I at my cousins' graduation party--the same cousin I mentioned earlier who's 40 days older than I--just so you know. :)

Feeding Dora...

Giving a haircut to brother mine...

Miranda and I when we were young-er. :)

Babysitting for neighbors...

Another cute kid...

My favorite senior picture... :)

Playing a song at my high school graduation...

All of us, looking a little blue!

Playing with sweet puppies...

Playing our rumbly piano...

Getting a hug from a dear friend!

...And up in the nursery an absurd little bird, keeps popping out to say, "Cuckoo, cuckoo..."

While repainting the kitchen, someone remarked about how much the paint looked like duct-tape, so I had to get a roll out of course to see how closely they really resembled each other ...

Granny and I... :)

Our family a few years ago...

Decorating a cake for a bridal shower...

New chickies (and some very dirty chore clothes!)

Birthday number 19...

I can't believe how small Jacob was just 3 years ago! Now he's at least as tall as I am, if not taller.

Good times together during my mothers' 50th birthday party!

Right to left: my mom's mom, Erdie; my dad's mom, Marly; myself; mother; and our dear neighbor, Gladys.

A big day for me--when my cows arrived on that cold day in December a couple years ago...

Spring means new kids to play with!

Andrew made this birthday cake for me! :)

And last, but not least, Miranda and I at our friends' wedding--standing by the cakes I made for them....

There are oh-so-many more pictures I could post, but I'm afraid I'll bore you if I go on, so I won't. :)

My birthday was a delightful day and I just want to thank all of you for your kind words and well wishes!!!!!!!! You're such a blessing to me and I thank God that I know you!

I had a couple very nice phone calls today--one from my Bornemann grandpa and one very unexpected one from----want to guess? It was from 2 sisters who have become very dear blogging friends over the last several months, my friends, Grace and Hannah. Hannah played piano and both young ladies sang "Happy birthday" to me over the phone!!! I was so surprised to hear their voices, and SO pleased! :) (Thank you again, dear friends, for deciding to call!!!)

You're probably wondering how my birthday was spent... Well, some of the time I helped with dishes and cooking, but the rest of the day was devoted to playing games with Mother and Jacob; playing piano duets with Mom for 2 hours; going through tons of pictures of the good old days; and watching a movie after my family had chores done. It was a wonderful, peaceful day, and one I'll remember for a long time to come!

Before I go, I'll leave you with an interesting finding I read about recently. :)

Dear Cora,
I so much enjoyed these three posts.
I loved all the pictures!! You were such a cute baby and little girl! And, you are a very beautiful lady =D!
My favorite pictures are your senior picture, the one of you and your dad by the goats, and the one of you vacuuming =D!

That was so much fun to call you. It was hard to Grace and I to get ourselves to do it. We are not "phone people" :)! All morning Grace and I kept saying lets do it NOW! And then we would go to get the number and the phone and chicken out! So we decided to practice singing Happy Birthday. Our brothers were laughing at us just sitting there playing/singing "Happy Birthday dear Cora. . ."!
We waited until a time when everyone else was outside and then we DID IT! I thought I had the song down pat on the piano but I messed up (could you tell?) I did better on the second verse!
It is still hard to think I actually talked to you!
It's funny, your voice sounds alot how I imagined it too, well I guess I did hear you talk a little bit in a couple videos you put on your blog but it is different when you are actually talking to someone.

Enough rambling now, I want to do a post!
Love you alot sister!

Thank you a LOT ladies for your sweet and fun comments, and your wishes for a happy birthday--which it definitely was!

Hannah~
I'm so glad you did get up the courage to call!!! I'm somewhat that way too and used to hate talking on the phone, but it's getting a lot better as I do it more. :)
I actually didn't notice that you made a mistake in your piano playing..... I think I was too busy being surprised. :)
Have a happy day, sister in the Lord! (It's raining here!)
Love,
Cora
