'Tis the night before....

'Tis the night before my birthday,
and all through the house
not a creature is stirring--
not even a mouse. (Thankfully!)

There's a bit of white cake left,
to celebrate with tomorrow,
and the flu bugs about gone--
(We'll celebrate without sorrow!)

The fish tank is waiting
in "Vacancy" style,
awaiting the fishes who'll come--
single file?

A piano-duet book
is hidden away someplace...
awaiting the right timing--
for our fingers to face.

Some unopened cards
finish out this pleasantry.
Now I can hardly wait for morning--
when I shall turn twenty three!

Thank you for your sweet comments, dear friends!!!!!

Dear Lulu~
How I wish I could say that I was going to be there! We almost always go to the convention, but this year, it's looking like nobody's going to make it there. :( My mom has a class that's the very same days and so the rest of us need to stay and do our animal chores. If it were only closer, we could go between chores, but Fargo's about a 3 hour drive away for us.
I do hope the Lord works it out for us to meet some other time though! What part of ND are you from? We live South of Steele (which is 40 miles east of Bismarck). Would your family be interested in attending Prairie Days? I'm not sure how far away that would be for you all...

Thanks again~ I'm very much looking forward to this day. :) It is a tradition in our family to let the birthday person have the whole day off of barn chores, so even though I love animals, it will be nice to have a little break!

Needless to say, the rest of us aren't looking forward to chores too much... Hope you have a happy birthday!

Hi Cora!
Daddy and I were looking a different websites that sell rechargeable AA batteries. You said your brother knows of a place were they are pretty inexpensive?
I'd be interested to know what place that is as I do want to get some batteries again so I can get back into my camera happy mood!
Enjoy your day though, you can let me know at your leisure!
Love you,
Hannah

Thank you all of you for your sweet birthday comments! It's been a very nice day. :) I'm currently working on a couple of large picture posts--so you can check back for them later.

Hannah F~
Andrew was going to recommend Battery Junction as a good source for bulk batteries, but we just checked there and they've had a fire in their warehouse and won't be back up and running until the middle of March. Andrew said another good place is All-Battery (http://www.all-battery.com/aasizenimhrechargeablebatteries.aspx)--we use and recommend the blue Tenergy batteries. Also, he said I should tell you about his favorite charger--which also has 4 batteries with it. You can find it here: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BCG-34HRMF4-Battery-Rechargeable-Batteries/dp/B0002IOIMQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1268012256&sr=8-3. This is a "Smart" charger, which will stop charging when the battery's full instead of overcharging it.

Hope this helps. :)

Love~
Cora

Yes that does help Cora. Thanks!
Daddy and I actually were looking on all-battery.com and we found a smart charger that comes with 8 blue Tenergy batteries and it is $22.00, so I think that is pretty good and I am thinking I may want to get it.

Makes me wish I did not spend the $10 Amazon gift certificate that I got from that contest on books =D hee hee, but I don't know which is better books or cheaper batteries/charger :)! I like books though so I'm not really regretting my purchase! Actually quite the opposite I am looking forward to getting them and reading them (hopefully tomorrow they'll come!)
Looking forward to the big picture posts- those are my favorite!!!
