A Florida court sets Atheist Holy Day...

* Snopes.com says this is not a true story... but it's still
funny! Have a great day! *

In Florida, an atheist created a case against the upcoming
Easter and Passover holy days. He hired an attorney to bring
a discrimination case against Christians, Jews, and
observances of their holy days. The argument was that it was
unfair that atheists had no such recognized days.

The case was brought before a judge. After listening to the
passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his
gavel declaring, "Case dismissed!"

The lawyer immediately stood, objecting to the ruling and
saying, "Your honor, how can you possibly dismiss this case?
The Christians have Christmas, Easter, and others. The Jews
have Passover, Yom Kippur, and Hanukkah, yet my client and
all other atheists have no such holidays."

The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do.
Your client, counsel, is woefully ignorant."

The lawyer said, "Your Honor, we are unaware of any special
observance or holiday for atheists."

The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fool's
Day. Psalm 14:1 states, 'The fool says in his heart, there
is no God.' Thus, it is the opinion of this court that if
your client says there is no God, then he is a fool.
Therefore, April 1st is his day. Court is adjourned."

*giggle* I got that via email this morning from the Good, Clean Funnies List. I think the first time I heard it was when my pastor said it during the service. We all howled with laughter! X-D

Thanks for sharing! :-D

Blessings,
Cora

Hannah and Grace~
The "Good Clean Funnies list" is a website that is full of humorous things to read, and some not so humorous too... You can subscribe for free to their e-mail funny list and they'll send a new one out almost every day. Here's the website, in case you have extra time on your hands. :) ( http://www.gcfl.net/)

Hannah, I'll try to write you tomorrow with how to play Stagecoach... I have to ask my brothers if they remember a couple of the things, as it's been a while since we played it.

Grace, it was cold here today and rained off and on. I hope you get some rain too!

I was so happy to count 29 tulips that were up this morning and this rain should really help the rest to come up too. :) (We planted 100 bulbs last fall.)

Well, I wanted to comment on both of your blogs yet tonight, but I'm just too tired, so will do it at another time. My dad, brothers and I learned a new game to play with Rook cards tonight, and it was so fun that we played until after 11...

Meet you in "Nod". :)
