It's official...

...I'm now considered one of the staff at the nursing home. :)

Today was my first day as such, and what a busy day it was too... My coworker and I just finished with all our work 5 minutes before it was time to go. It took longer partially because there wasn't a 5:15-9:15 helper today, and also partially because I'm still learning. However, the lady I was working with told me right before we left that I did really, really well and she had no complaints, so that was very good to hear!

On the home-front, another goat kidded today--one of Jacobs. The kid wins the cutest-kid-of-the-year award so far, being brown with a whitish belt and darker spots all over. :) We were kind of sad to see it's a boy, as that means he'll get sold, but at least we get to enjoy him for a while.

My dad cleaned some more grain today and I think is finally nearing the end of the busy season. Now to start up the next busy time--planting time....

This morning, Andrew and I started up a couple of the rider mowers and mowed the first grass of the year. What a wonderful smell freshly mown grass is! I'd nearly forgotten...

We also celebrated Mothers' life a bit and tried to make her feel special. I found a song on-line that she'd been looking for for along time, and thought I'd share it with you here, as it's really a great song:

Isn't that an inspiring song? Let's keep shining for Him!

Well, that was our day. I hope yours was very special--especially if you are a mother reading this! : )

Oh, the new baby goat sounds so cute! :D It's too bad that you won't be keeping it. :( But yes, at least you can pet and play with him for a little while. :) That is nice and fun. ;)

Thank you for the song...we know of Steve Green as well...my dad really likes listening to music, so we have a large variety at our house (especially of older music). :)

Love and Hugs!
